On Tuesday, January 6, 2026, the Mill Creek City Council kicked off the new year by voting for a new Mayor, Stephanie Vignal, sworn in by Representative April Berg of the 44th Legislative District, and a new Mayor Pro Tem, Melissa Duque. They also welcomed newly elected Councilmember Tannis Golebiewski and celebrated the reappointments of Councilmember John Steckler, sworn in by Senator John Lovick, and Councilmember Connie Allison.
